involved in mess like that. You can't change the minds of people who think like that. People who say stuff like that to a person of color, that tells me everything I need to know. I dont' want anything to do with that mess

I saw someone spouting right wing nonsense about immigrants yesterday, we've been accused of having Stockholm Syndrome, ignorant non thinkers, house you know what's, race naggers, and divisive by default for having issues and concerns that relate to the color of our skin.

Why is that an issue?

I'ma let the non black folks duke it out amongst themselves. They want a political football they should have an argument about which immigrant group had it the worst.

Let them eat their own.

Black Lives matters vs "All lives matters" but I never thought DU would house people who would spout Fox News talking points. Gah..I give up. My stomach hurts.

Since the Trayvon Martin was murdered case. Black Lives Matter was coined by the original terminology at that time. Yep - at DU it has been going on.

I've come out - came out yesterday in a post by KamaAina. I don't care if white racists (male) Trump supporters are in misery, suicidal, drunks and dying young. They have made a choice to be hateful, to support a Hutu, and I'm not going to lift all boats with my taxes for them. They will just shoot my nephews like George did Trayvon and get away with it.

Since this has been going on at DU for a few years - empathy with poor white male Trump Types - fuck it. We aren't full human beings then neither are Trumpsters.

At no time ever have I not dropped hints that I have a sociopathic drive for survival. It's in my blood. Us or the Trumpsters. If you vow to vote against me by staying home AND try to spout bullshit about ALM - then I view you as a Trump Sympathizer.

Fox News Talking Points - they have my attitude and opinion of them coming. They did it to themselves.

The other day someone told me to go "stuff my Asian culture crap" in a Personal Message. It never was this way, and I been around here for a while. It greatly saddens me that DU has come down to this, and makes me want to vomit.

My ancestors were mostly Irish. They were treated like shit when they came to America. It seems to me, that ought to create a sense of solidarity with other oppressed peoples. I would hope that progressive people of European descent would understand how their ancestors were co-opted into the racist system, but sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case often enough.

They came from Eastern Ireland to VA (Protestant Lace Curtains) - then the Hills of WV helped found WV.
They went to the plains during the Civil War and Colorado in the 1880's.

They were Germans who settled in Pittsburgh - some Lutheran (3 sons lost in the Civil War) and some Jewish (1890's)

They were a former French Officer in 1921.

I GET it. I do. I was lucky to have that French Army Officer in my life into my 20's - Much like my father - was luck to have his great grandparents (born slaves, a Seminole Slave, Cherokee, and an Irish immigrant from Galway) as a little kid.

Longevity is the standard on both sides of my family.

Many are removed from their Immigrant experience. They don't have a first hand story of being turned away at Ellis Island the first time that ancestor tried to escape the coming of WW II that my French ancestor could share. He was a prophet!

If it was some people a long time ago - it's hard to understand. They don't get how the nativists treated their families and how dismissive they were of them. And on that note - shame on me. I didn't realize how much low grade stereotyping goes on towards Italians until I married a man with a thick Italian accent (he's not Ndrengheta - Calabrese Mafia btw ).

How is it a black woman gets "it" but they don't?

They don't understand the level of risk it took and by their ancestors jumping at the chance to not be 'others' they had to target the other 'others'. That's their American Dream.
