...you all can have your guns for now, but you will never have the moral high ground and we need only two more Supreme Court Justices to take the legal high ground also. Self defense, target shooting, hunting- fine.
Militia oriented, more guns is the answer thinking, high power, high capacity, more, more...gun idolatry is a condition to be opposed!

(26,602 posts)If you wish to express disapprobation toward "gun idolatry" (whatever that is) might I suggest something from the following
unacceptable, undesirable, unwanted, unwelcome, disagreeable, displeasing, distasteful, unpleasant, bad, execrable, lousy, miserable, terrible, unspeakable, wretched, atrocious, infamous, abhorrent, disgusting, gross, loathsome, repellent, repugnant, repulsive, revolting, sickening, vile, debasing, indecent, filthy, foul, nasty, obscene, vulgar, blamable, blameworthy, scurrilous, reprehensible
instead? It would get the point across - and I certainly respect your right to the opinion - without insulting the mentally ill...

(4,407 posts)I take no offense. It's like when someone calls someone else a pussy, I take it in context rather than considering it a general slur that I should get worked up over.
Chill the fuck out.

(17,502 posts)but some schools do have armed security. Some Canadian ones do as well. The schools my kids went to have full time cops posted there. When I was in the Philippines, which had very strict gun laws, McDonalds and local book stores had security guards. Some of them armed. Went in a jewelery store and Thailand, they had a guy with a submachine gun.
Ultimately, Wayne and Brady are both ignoring the underlying social and medical problems to serve their narrow political agendas.
