(2,282 posts)Colorado bill would allow teachers to carry guns in schools
With the introduction of Senate Bill 13-009, some Colorado lawmakers would give public educators the option of being on level ground with would-be attackers. The bill would authorize public school district boards to decide whether to allow employees to carry concealed handguns on school grounds if they hold a valid concealed carry permit.

(71 posts)From what I'm hearing, it was a shootout between two men who were arguing. Looks to be gang related.

(6,624 posts)Might, but not necessarily.
"Caught in crossfire" means multiple shooters. Could be that reporter doesn't know what "crossfire" means, though.
ManiacJoe
(10,136 posts)There was no crossfire at the time.
I gave up on the multiple threads.

(71 posts)Terry Foster, 22, is now charged with two counts of aggravated assault. He is not yet in custody. The other suspect, Carlton Berry, 22, is also charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
According to court documents, Foster and Berry were walking on campus together when a male student named Jody Neal bumped into Foster and an argument ensued. About a half an hour later, Berry told investigators that he and Foster saw Neal again and the argument continued. That's when court documents state Foster starting shooting at Neal.
Berry, Neal and a maintenance man were all wounded by the gunfire and remain hospitalized. Neal, who was working on getting his GED, ran into the student library and collapsed. He is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg and abdomen, according to deputies.
Bobby Cliburn, the 69-year-old maintenance man at the campus, was an innocent bystander.
Seems like Foster manage to shoot everybody including himself and his own buddy. Police said that Foster wounded himself in the buttock while pocketing his gun.
