Carys is so unpredictable

A couple of times, yesterday, she came running up like she wanted some scritches but when I reached out she ran off.

Then, last night, she hopped up next to me. When I didn't acknowledge her, immediately, she gave off the tiniest little meow. Almost a squeak. It seems that she was now ready for those scritches. When she'd had her fill, she slowly walked away.

Now, when I give her scritches and head rubs, she REALLY gets in to them, pressing up hard against my hand. For those few minutes she is the sweetest girl on the planet. She really is such a puzzle.

Oh well. Time to go sign my tax forms so I can get a refund and spend it on all of my fur babies.

A big improvement from six weeks ago. She sounds like she''l be one of the naptime lap cats eventually. Time will tell.

Went out to see Mikey yesterday, he's doing well. He's 10 years old now but he's not slowing down much. He does like to be in the house at night and has many hidey-holes around the house to get away from the dogs.

It was nice to have my favorite kitty to snuggle and pet for a couple hours. He was clingy but made sure he was out of reach so I would take him home with me. He knows my place is too small and he's happy and cared for with his original mom now that we figured out he care needs at the new place. And it was a very nice, sunny, kind of warm day. The worst part was fighting a stout wind on the drive home for 60+ miles.

Saw a lot of eagles along the river, it's nesting time.

happy when I read of her progress, and can just see her becoming the biggest cuddler!

And of course you have your priorities correct about your tax refund!

He does that a lot. I think he hides in the bushes to ambush me.

Also, when I was feeding the porch kitcats, this morning, Dot didn't dash off and hide when I walked by. That's a first.

you accomplish with these adorable beings.

Do you think Dylan wants to play hide and seek?

And he just loves to follow me around the yard. I'm going to head out on another walk to check on the back lot and I have no doubt that he will come running along next to me.

Then again, they're cats, so probably not!
