I got some slow blinks from Skittish, this afternoon

She seems to spend a lot of time in that makeshift shelter on the back deck and was stretched on the deck, which is right outside of the living room window.

She saw me looking at her through the window so I gave her a few slow blinks and after just a few, she actually slow blinked back at me!

Skittish is the very first feral I started to feed, about 4 years ago. She is Carys' grandmother. I was making such good process gaining her trust, but then she disappeared for an extended period of time, and I thought she was gone. Now she's back but seems to be slow in remembering I'm not a threat. BUT she's getting much better and that makes me very happy.

Unless you trap her and confine her to a cage so she has to face her fears, you're doing all that Karadeniz Apr 2023 #2

I got to pet him on the head a few times and he looked like he liked it. I love it when I get up and it’s not even light. yet and he’s sitting looking in the back door window, waiting patiently

will begin to withdraw and start acting spooky again if I don’t give them daily refresher courses with the kitty brush.

…and they’ve been fed here for about 15 years.
