(709 posts)Siwsan is taunting us with all that cuteness!
Full disclosure - I am very jealous; and yes, I squeeeed at all the photos you have posted! You've got me bringing my daughter up to date every day, and she squees too.
I open your posts as soon as I see them. Not because I love the kittens. Nope, not me!
It's a trap! (need Star Wars meme)

(2,947 posts)comes running from gawd knows where in the house to where I am and jumps on the counter and just sits and watches me floss. It's cute and weird at the same time. Has no interest in the floss string, just at what I'm doing.

(21,731 posts)that they feel compelled to watch us to see what bizarre thing we will do next.
Mine often gives me a condescending look of pity for being so peculiar. Other times, she looks amazed at the things I get up to. Sometimes I think she is amused at human antics and seems to be inwardly laughing.
Today I got the amazed curiosity look for quite a while as she watched intently while I used a broken broom handle to knock some spices off of the top shelf in my kitchen cupboard. Any human would have understood that, since I am only 5'1" tall, I need either a tool or a ladder to reach that shelf. (I was too lazy to pull out the ladder.) Another human would also have known that the spices were there only for storage of extras that I picked up on sale until I needed them to restock my very reachable spice rack.
But Ember was puzzled over why I kept poking a stick in the cupboard. Is that how people hunt? How strange. What's in there anyway? A mouse? A bird? Can't see what my human is chasing, so maybe it's just a fly. Heck, I could have caught it by now. Why are people such poor hunters?
I felt triumphant when I brought down the minced onion, but Ember shot me the pity look again. Then she left the kitchen. The entertainment was over.

(41 posts)who their mama is; and how they can listen for their favorite sounds even while sleeping, so that they will be at full attention when mama is in the room, or when a can is cracked open!
You are in kitten heaven. Don't you wish it would last longer tan a few months?

(26,315 posts)And now he's so big. Really much bigger than I anticipated, since he was so much smaller than his sisters. Madoc was the only short hair in that litter.
This litter has two, big, really fluffy kittens (Dewi and Gwen) and two medium fluffy (Arthur and Bronwyn). And they seem to be pretty equally mischievous with Dewi being the most vocal.

(41 posts)to watch kittens from the same litter grow, side by side, and study their differences and similarities. I've only had one kitten, or two from different litters, my whole life.
It also amazes me how their genes can be so different even though they are from the same litter. I just watched a you tube video by "The Kitten Lady" and learned that kittens can have different fathers in the same litter! How does Mom do that, haha! Also, there are no "mutts" in the kitten/cat world, as there are in the doggie realm. It has something to do with how their genes only pair up from mom and dad in certain combos. It is a subject of great interest in vet biology, I hear....
