Afterwards, she will follow me out of the bathroom and then go back to whatever she was doing before I went in there. I think it's feline curiosity more than anything else. Cats just HAVE to know everything that's going on at all times. Do not ever try to sneak around a cat's back and get away with it, because it won't work!
