I always find it extremely endearing when our dogs seek out the sun. "Puppy in the sun" our daughters used to call it

My beloved cocker spaniel used to do the same thing. We had a big picture window in the living room and the sun streamed in during the afternoons so he'd take a nap there just like that. Otherwise, his favorite spot was under the coffee table in front of the couch. I put a bed under there for him, but it had to be a flat one, so he could fit.

Sunbeams are natural cat attractant. The same must go for goggies too. Both your kids look very healthy and relaxed.

She (?) looks almost exactly like my shelter rescue guy, only he (mine) has much more grey overall, and a bit of a blockhead. No really, his head and neck are HUGE! ... Perhaps that is why your kitty's face appears to be female to me? No matter, the original point was that they both otherwise have very similiar eyes and facial markings. I love this pic!

Same thing for the other pics as well. They are great! You've really captured the feeling one (and all) deservedly enjoys (or should make a point to) on a deliciously lazy Sunday afternoon!

Love this. Thanks for sharing!

On edit: Oh never mind... I'm in serious need of my own upcoming Sunday!

"Cats May Safely Sleep" tune by J.S. Bach

http://music.aol.com/song/garrison-keillor/cats-may-safely-sleep/10335896

There in the room where the sun is shining
Two little cats on the rug reclining
Slowly their eyes are closing
Now they are sweetly dozing
Curled up together in a heap
Two little cats are fast asleep.

God in His grace has given us cats
So that even the lonely can love and admire
Creatures so light, so graceful, so elegant
We are inspired by them
To know our own perfection
And the grace and love that fill the earth

There in the square that the sun is making
Two little cats from their naps are waking
Yawning and stretching slowly
Washing their face in holy
Pleasure of warm and sunny days
Purring a little song of praise.
