it has (raw) chopped seeded tomatoes, basil cut in chiffonade, minced garlic, salt and olive oil. The recipe suggested shell pasta but I'm doing angel hair. Steamed broccoli. Dessert is my son's favorite, peach cobbler, with a plumcot that was left over from another dish.

I'll likely be hanging out with all the most notorious lefties and have a good time... Beer and Wine included in the FREE ENTRY price. Burgers, hot dogs and potluck salads and deserts.

but I had a fantastic breakfast that I'd like to tell you about. There are two food trucks every week at my local Farmers Market. One sells Central/South American food. I treated myself to an arepa (corn flatbread) with pulled pork, avocado, and cheese curds from a local dairy. Sooo good, plus it kept me filled up all day.

The other food truck has Jamaican food and coffee drinks.

w/ Jasmine rice and homemade eggrolls stuffed with cabbage, carrots, mushroom and ginger. I was going to make some won ton soup but it's too HOT out to even think about it.

Red wine for dessert!

Actually, that'll be tomorrow's dinner, but I'm seriously craving it tonight even though we've already had dinner. I have 3 different favorite recipes, but this particular version's a Fine Cooking one that includes spicy sausage. Another's Cuban with those wonderfully low key flavors and the other a Puerto Rican version with sofrito, green olives and so on.

Tonight was steak and a very nice herbed red potato salad. Sadly, no wine in the house.

Pretty normal, but I had to make a garlic-free, dairy-free dressing. I found a Catalina-style recipe that I'm trying.
And my husband got Fettuccini Alfredo (broccoli and chicken), salad, and garlic bread.
The diet seems to be working! I'll give it one more day and then pick something to add back. Hmmm...dairy or garlic?
