The RG had all the dinner ingredients stacked up on the kitchen counter as I walked out the door for work. He had just returned from CT, where he shopped the WF. There they have a guy in the fish department who smokes the fish on premises.
So needless to say, there were all kinds of smoked fish packages stacked up. Salmon and others where I didn't see the labels. I did see smoked sardines and anchovies. In addition, beautiful kabobs of colorful vegetables, like red and yellow peppers, light green zucchini, and yellow squash. Onions on those kabobs, too.
Several packages of Rainforest crackers (those are the kind that are thin and have nuts and raisins in them).
He must have also made an excursion to the cheese shop, either at WF or to an independent one. He made me a "preview" as I went out the door: this creamy cheese that said "gruyere" on the label. Then some smoked fish; all of i topped with raspberry jalapeno jelly. It was so good!
For dessert, watermelon.

(31,999 posts)So much fresh produce available makes for a good tossed salad. I added a few green olives and used a store bought ranch dressing.
I made sliders for the FLFC and got three paws up. No cheese caused the loss of a paw. I also had a slider with just brown mustard. He had some fake bacon treats for dessert, after which he requested more slider.

Talk about a Blue Moon day! Jeez.
I wanna get real smashed and forget what happened today on the National/International stage.
I have to work so not gonna happen but very tempting. Its actually hot here so its easy to down cold ones.
I will have the leftovers tomorrow- cleaning and I have one more load. Ugh.
