Related: About this forumPyrex type measuring cups- any preference?
Even though the open handle ones stack, I prefer the closed handled ones since catching the handle on a sleeve a couple of times and nearly pulling the cup and its ingredients off the counter!

(111,480 posts)but they tend to be dribble cups when pouring liquid out of them so I use a cheap plastic cup for measuring and pouring cold liquids.
I have a closed handle on the pint cup and an open handle on the 2 quart cup and no preference. They both have dribble spouts.

(102,579 posts)I do wish I had an old set, which poured without dribbling.

(26,120 posts)Closed handle and raised markings. I swear those red markings on new stuff are planned obsolescence.

(6,002 posts)I do, however, return to my old Pyrex cups for hot liquids or microwave use.

(16,334 posts)I have closed handle and open handle, the big plastic one pictured in a thread above, the tall grippers for salad dressings, plus two smaller, glass one-cup open handle kind. I never got rid of one whose markings have washed off. I guess I sort of collect them. I think I reach for the glass open handle one most often.

(36,828 posts)One is a 4 cup and the other two are 2 cup. All have open handles which I like because I can stack all three.
