The two wines were Austrian, the one I liked and bought was a Prosa by Meinklang, described as a frizzante (more glow than sparkle) pinot noir. I also bought a bottle of white for cooking. On the way home, we stopped at a Thai sushi parlor, the spicing is mainly Thai but you can also get Chinese sauces. We don't typically go there for sushi. We split five fried oysters with a miso sauce for an appetizer, then his entree was beef in Thai basil sauce and my order was a whole lobster stir fried with ginger, garlic, and scallion. We both had brown rice on the side. We also split a carafe of hot sake then walked the last 1/2 mile home in 52 degree weather that felt closer to 43 in the shade. Invigorating walk and satisfying food. I think we'll probably get through the rest of the evening doing small snacks of leftovers. I also made pumpkin French bread rolls yesterday! Beautiful day! 
completely out of pocket for about 8 days.
Tonight, our last night in America, one of my guests has prepared a beautiful lasagna, which we will eat with salad and garlic bread. We think we will have about half left, which we can warm up while underway to Paradise Cove tomorrow.
