BFF coming to my house tonight. Nuttin' fancy: sausages with peppers, which she is making. She's a pretty good cook, though, and I expect it to be a good meal. (Crabcakes are her specialty.) I'll warm up miniature cornbread loaves to go with the sausages.
I'm making the salad, which is spring mix with cherry tomato, cucumber, pepper, scallions from the garden, and celery. I'll put in some pea shoots from the garden and some baby arugula leaves, also homegrown. Caesar dressing for me and vinaigrette for her.
Dessert has not been discussed, but there will be something. Maybe just tea and a slice of banana nut bread.
I'll drink kombucha and she'll have white wine.
My friend used to live next door so for her it's like coming back to the old neighborhood.
The RG won't be part of it as he is on a business trip.

There's a mushroom cream sauce and some egg noodles.
Sauteed zucchini and yellow squash.
Ice cream for dessert.
I found some Christmas turkey and stock in the freezer. It is time to use it.
Turkey, brown rice, and vegetables (so far just celery, onion and carrot). It will be hearty and more like a stew than a soup.
I'm the only one awake here. TJ and Four Legged Food Critic are asleep so it's very quiet.
