Mother's Day Brunch Photos

Here are some pics of the food I made for brunch today. Thanks for the suggestions

Fruit salad with honey mint lime dressing

Home fries

Eggs Benedict

Asparagus and Hollandaise sauce

Liege waffles. These were terrific. They are sweeter than normal waffles. I served them with Nutella or bananas. I took the bananas and cut them in half and cooked them in skin for a couple minutes on each side. You serve the banana with the waffle and people just scoop out the banana and spread it on the waffle. I forgot to take a pic of the bananas

I see Yukon Golds and plain red boiling potatoes in the home fries--is that purple stuff some kind of heirloom breed? Love the different colors.

I usually add the two to some whipped cream. Great combo. I'll try a bit of fresh mint next time, too.

Good job! I'm sure you got rave reviews.

tablespoons of chopped mint. I had watermelon, honeydew melon, red grapes, and tangelos for the fruit.

For the potatoes I parboiled them first and then put them in a fry pan with some olive oil and cooked them with onion, sweet peppers, a couple cloves mashed garlic, rosemary, parsley, and thyme.
