This is a disturbing trend

"Stealthing" is a new term to me. It refers to the nonconsensual act of a man secretly removing his condom during sex.

A report by the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law details the growth of this trend. "Lead author Alexandra Brodsky argues that “stealthing..." is a form of sexual assault and should be treated as such."

This article, from the New York Post, brings important information and I encourage DUers to read it:

Here's the link to the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law's website featuring the study's abstract. It can link you to the full study. I skimmed it quickly and it's a fairly interesting and serious study.

Keep in mind that it seems to be a recent development and there appears to be an online group supporting this heinous behavior.

because a woman has only consented to protected sex. I think they're probably right about this.

There don't appear to be clear laws in the US about this behavior and I believe this is part of the author's reason for the study.
