We - by & large - don't vote for repukes.
Nor should we.
But our 'leaders' (HRC?) make some very questionable decisions.

(14,498 posts)....the DEM party lost the deep south in '64 and really the entire old Confederacy after that for at least one... maybe two generations.
Primary reason: support for Voting Rights Act and other civil rights measures in JFK/LBJ, term 1, 1960-64
AAs were regarded by some... esp Southern DEMS.... as a liability. And electorally speaking, they were correct.
Morally speaking, of course , they were on the wrong side of history just as the non-glbt supporters w/in our party are today.
Point: it's important to look at the big picture.... historically AND ethically.
We're winning. It takes time.
