A bookend pair of recommendations for this weekend

One is a movie called Any Day Now staring Alan Cummings and Garret Dillahunt as a gay couple who fight for the right to raise a down syndrome child who is neglected by his drug addicted prostitute mother. It is set in San Francisco in the 1970's. Warning, you will need tissues. You can find it on Netflix under new films added. The bookend is the Fosters, a show about a lesbian couple who are raising a child of their own and four foster children. It is on ABC Family.
