https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/middle-east/16132-15000-new-jewish-settlers-in-west-bank-in-2014"Interior Ministry figures, showing that Judea-Samaria [the Jewish name for the West Bank] currently has nearly 400,000 Israelis, demonstrates [that] settlement in Judea-Samaria is an irreversible fact," former Yesha Council head Dani Dayan said Friday.
The Yesha Council is an umbrella organization for the municipal councils of West Bank Jewish settlements.
According to Dayan, the number of Jewish settlers in the West Bank has risen by 15,000 since 2013.
Jewish-only settlements...and some piker ir running around in IP declaring that there is no Apartheid. Jewish-only settlements. That seems pretty much like apartheid to me.
How about you, my fellow DUers?

The Geneva Initiative believes that it is possible for Israelis and Palestinians to reach a permanent status agreement to end the conflict on the basis of the parameters of the Geneva Accords presented in 2003. To date, no negotiations have taken place on the basis of these parameters, which is one of the primary reasons for their repeated failure. We believe that both parties should agree on a clear basis for negotiations, or that the international community should propose them.

(15,805 posts)No, I won't join you in building yet another irrelevant strawman. These transparent attempts to deflect the discussion only serves to substantiate OPs assessment that the Jewish-only settlements are blatantly Apartheid. Factor in all other the Jewish-only acts of segregation and discrimination that are intended to delegitimize non-Israelis and deny them equal rights. Dress it up, put lipstick on it, but it's still Apartheid.

The Geneva Initiative offers a pathway towards ending this once and for all.

(5,397 posts)The settlements aren't "Jewish only" thus your argument is moot.
For example reference Ariel where a few hundred Israeli Arabs attend school.

(4,151 posts)I will give you Ariel ......due to the "Ariel University Center of Samaria " it has Arab, Druze, and Circassian Israeli students.
Following is a list of settlements in the West Bank and a map and an Interactive Map of the West Bank Settlements.
Would you care to point out which are not "Jewish only" and if not which percentage of non Jews live there and why and where are they from ???
