Israels defense minister launched a massive price tag attack last week. In response to an EU directive that will help ensure European funding does not benefit Israeli settlements, Moshe Yaalon ordered a halt to cooperation with European humanitarian efforts benefiting Palestinians in Israeli-controlled areas of the West Bank.
We are freezing the relationship on everything, an Israeli official told The Guardian. We did this as soon as we heard [about the directive]. We cant act like nothing happened.
Price tag attacks are generally perpetrated by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property in response to Israeli government moves against settlements. In other words, they attack an uninvolved third party in retaliation for legally sanctioned harm done to them.
Yaalons order is no different. For all intents and purposes, it is a price tag attack.

(58,724 posts)But I didn't identify reaching large numbers of people as a goal of mine. I'll leave that to folks like you and your mirror images among the "hasbarados".
As for me, I prefer to exchange ideas and share information (and correct misinformation) with the regulars and anyone who may drop in. Makes for interesting conversation and forces me to challenge my own ideas on the topic.

That confuses me.

(25,699 posts)Sorry! Figured I'd get that in before Oberl... hey, wait a minute!
Yeah, this is pretty much what figured when I was reading the article posted by Shira earlier. Ya'lon's reasoning is so mangled, the logic so like a Gordian knot, that I had trouble figuring out just how to come at it.
This is my exact reaction after reading it a second time

(58,724 posts)The rest of them are OK - though the guy who was excited about being on an internet list is kind of strange too.
I posted another article from there as well a few days ago but it sank without comment unfortunately.

(25,699 posts)He was mocking the list and the people who created it. What I found strange was that he gave you what amounts to a hit list of "race traitor" Jews, compiled and published by a shitbag group like masada, rife with recommendations like "someone should pay his mother a visit" on the entries, and your only reaction was to be very bitchy about the presence of 927mag on your internet.
baby steps, I guess.

(58,724 posts)He has never written a satire in his life. He is just a guy who posts stuff he thinks is funny and/or interesting on the internet, like you. He also seems to like pointing out negative things about Israel, also like you.
What is funny is that his mockery of the list was deemed worthy of a post here. DU I/P used to be limited to actual articles about actual things that were actually happening in the region. I know that has long since gone out the window (predating your joining us here), but it's a shame.
