UFree Network: Israel tortures a Palestinian detainee to death
Oslo | UFree Network | Media Centre
Arafat Shalsh Jaradat, 30, has been murdered by Israeli intelligence (Mossad) while he was under extreme torture in Majdo prison facility. Jaradat has died due to a heart attack because of heavy beating and illegal practices of inhumane torture.
Jaradat was kidnapped from his house in Sair town northern Hebron on the 18th February 2013. Later he was transferred to a number of Israeli prisoners and interrogated by Israeli intelligence which resulted in his death today.
Jaradat suffered from different health complications since his kidnapping. Yet, he was neglected by Israel and was not taken to a hospital until he died.
In this regards, UFree Network holds Israel the full responsibility of Jaradats death in addition to International Human Rights organisations which failed to stop Israeli practices.
Its widely known that Israel one of the top countries that constantly violates International laws. Yet, this fact did not drive an International action or pressure. Torture continued to be an integral part of the policy of this state. Meanwhile, no inspection against these prisons was carried out. There were also no reports that denounced what Israelis have been doing over the past decades.

I do admit that you carry the water exceptionally well.
Shin Bet's account
The Shin Bet internal intelligence service said that Jaradat had been taken ill just before his death.
"Medics were called to treat him but they were unable to save his life," Shin Bet said in a statement, adding that Israeli police had opened an investigation into the circumstances of Jaradat's death.
All of the above could be true. So could the accusation that mentions he had a heart attack due to being tortured.

I see a lot of lulz lately from team apology, with no follow up, when presented with articles critical to what Israel does.

(45,850 posts)An autopsy has revealed that Arafat Jaradat died of extreme torture in Israeli custody and did not have a cardiac arrest, the PA Minister of Detainee Affairs said Sunday.
At a news conference in Ramallah, Issa Qaraqe said an autopsy conducted in Israel in the presence of Palestinian officials revealed that 30-year-old Jaradat had six broken bones in his neck, spine, arms and legs.
"The information we have received so far is shocking and painful. The evidence corroborates our suspicion that Mr. Jaradat died as a result of torture, especially since the autopsy clearly proved that the victim's heart was healthy, which disproves the initial alleged account presented by occupation authorities that he died of a heart attack," Qaraqe said.
......................................
The autopsy revealed evidence of severe torture and on the muscle of the upper left shoulder, parallel to the spine in the lower neck area, and evidence of severe torture under the skin and inside the muscle of the right side of the chest. His second and third ribs in the right side of the chest were broken, Qaraqe said, and he also had injuries in the middle of the muscle in the right hand.

ever done CPR? The breaking of the second and third ribs on the right side of the ribcage during resuscitation makes no sense at least not if chest compressions were being properly applied, what does happen on occasion during CPR is that there is a small cartiledge called the xiphoid process that is located at the bottom of the sternum at about the level of 5th-6th rib that is broken but causes no lasting injury to the patient

(30,099 posts)HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli officers tortured Arafat Jaradat, a 30-year-old who died Saturday in Israeli custody, his lawyer and the Ministry of Detainee Affairs said Sunday.
Kameel Sabbagh, a lawyer at the ministry, said he was present at Jaradat's last hearing on Thursday. The Israeli judge postponed the hearing for 12 days.
"When I entered the courtroom I saw Jaradat sitting on a wooden chair in front of the judge. His back was hunched and he looked sick and fragile.
"When I sat next to him he told me that he had serious pains in his back and other parts of his body because he was being beaten up and hanged for many long hours while he was being investigated
"When Jaradat heard that the judge postponed his hearing he seemed extremely afraid and asked me if he was going to spend the time left in the cell. I replied to him that he was still in the investigation period and this is possible and that as a lawyer I couldn't do anything about his whereabouts at this time."
Sabbagh said in a statement that Jaradat's psychological state was very serious and that he informed the judge his client had been tortured. The judge ordered that Jaradat should be examined by the prison doctor but "this didn't happen," the lawyer added.
The Ministry of Detainee Affairs said Israeli interrogators used hanging techniques and sleep deprivation to torture Jaradat in al-Jalameh prison, a day before he died in Megiddo prison.
Jaradat's family, who have viewed his body, said there were traces of blood on the body. They rejected Israeli claims that he died of a heart attack.
The family said they were informed that an autopsy on Jaradat's body was complete and would be returned to Hebron on Sunday evening through the Tarqumiya crossing.
A Palestinian doctor and a legal team from the prisoners ministry were present at the autopsy.
