The Stock Market should be Illegal
I feel the stock market should be made illegal for the following reasons.
1.It allows a corporation to raise capital without meeting any credit checks. When the business fails, it is the tax payer who gets stuck with bailing it out, or paying for the bankruptcy, and the stock holders swindled out of their investments. Banks are made to borrow money from, where corporations canbe scrutinized for credit worthiness.
2. Stock profits are taken off American workers backs, thus preventing the worker from having increased wages and benefits for his family. His needs are put behind stockholders who never expended any energy for the profits. A parasite couldn't do a better job of bleeding profits, and demoralizing workers. By keeping wages low, once again the taxpayers have to subsidize the family with welfare and other social programs.
3.Stocks take billions of dollars out of the economy, that sit in safe deposit boxes gathering dust, an are not available for bank loans for development, homes, cars, education, etc. Instead taxpayers have to subsidize businesses to boost the economy.
