VZ mother of jailed adolescent with epilepsy, jailed herself for speaking about his cruel treatment
1. #URGENT 9:50 pm Military detainees Romelis Guilarte, mother of Jickson, the adolescent with epilepsy who was released after being arbitrarily arrested. Guilarte was close to her house in Villa Bahía when officials took her to a vehicle, for no apparent reason. # 9Feb
2. After 11pm of #9Feb, Romelis Guilarte was released, after being detained in a military post of Unare, in Puerto Ordaz. At the moment, the reason for the arrest is unknown.
Backstory: Romelis Guilarte is the mother of Jickson Rodríguez, a kid who was jailed on January 23rd despite his age (14 years old) and neurological condition (epileptic since age 5). After his release with "precautionary measures" on January 29th, Jickson spoke of the cruel and inhuman treatment he suffered. Last Saturday night, she was arrested by the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), who accused her of manipulating her son to speak ill of them.
Note please Bolivarian, not Venezuelan National Guard. These thugs are the vanguard of the Revolution, not the protectors of Venezuelans. They serve Chavismo, not the Constitution.
