What passes for nutrition at Caracas' main public hospital. UNFIT for human consumption?

Caracas, April 17. - This Tuesday, doctors from all over the country joined the national protest called by the health sector union to reject the national government the conditions in which they are currently due to the shortage of supplies and medicines, conditions of the welfare centers, food and unworthy salaries.

Many have been the requests to President Nicolás Maduro to allow the entry into the country of the aid that different nations are willing to offer Venezuela to face the precarious situation that Venezuelans live. However, the national president, and those who make up his government cabinet, refuse and argue that this would allow a "foreign interference."

The deputy to the National Assembly, José Manuel Olivares, published a photograph in his Twitter account where he reflects one of the needs of patients at the University Hospital of Caracas: food. The image shows that they hardly offer pasta with beans, but in a very low quantity, which would make it impossible to maintain the good nutrition of the citizens who need to go into that health center.

"The magnitude of the crisis we are going through makes all of us necessary to achieve the change of Government and thus find the solution to all the problems we have ," said the parliamentarian in the social network.

Previous tweets have shown government food deliveries to various public hospitals of food stuffs (pork, beef offal) that are marked NOT FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
