A reminder of the Statement Of Purpose of The Hillary Clinton Room
This is a safe haven designed for Hillary Clinton supporters only. Criticism of Hillary or of her policies are not permitted in this room. If you wish to criticize her there are plenty of posts in GD that you can do this in.
The Statement Of Purpose of this room set forth by the hosts are clear. http://www.democraticunderground.com/1107672
If you post criticism of her you will be blocked from this room and you will not get a warning.
The hosts of this room do not like blocking but we dislike disruption even more. We have to think of the posters who use this room to discuss Hillary's accomplishments and spare them of any disruption.
If you get blocked or have been it is not personal but the Statement Of Purpose is clear. There is no reason why we in this room need to be disrupted. We may be a small traffic room but we are still a good thriving room nonetheless.
And please do not post in this thread to complain about our Statement Of Purpose.
Thank you,
Justin
I am reposting this because this group has gotten active again and a few people have either inadvertently or on prurpose posted anti-Hillary stuff and that is not allowed in here. If you don't support Hillary there is no reason to post in here. Thank you.

(7,572 posts)Do all threads started here in the HRC group automatically show up on GD also? Or does the host post them there? or someone else? It seems to me that the anti-Hillary posts come in from the GD posts, maybe not. If this is truly to be a "safe place" for Hillary supporters, why can't all threads about Hillary remain here to be commented upon by those in this group?

(3,163 posts)And this is not meant to criticize the members of this group. But I have a serious question for you, and I pose it as a question, not as a criticism or to antagonize. I seriously want to know.
If you do not want to hear opposing viewpoints, how do you counter them when they arise outside the safe haven of your own group? If nothing else, how do you form your own thinking as to your candidate?
When I hear something which is counter to something I support it makes me think about why I support that cause. Considering to myself, "why is that wrong" solidifies my thinking on the subject and improves my argument when the subjects comes up. I come up with counters to the point made and in so doing arrive at points which reinforce my cause and strengthen mu support of that cause.
Now, I know that tends not to be the sop on DU. When one reads something that one does not agree with the proper response is name calling and accusations of evil, but it doesn't have to be that way, does it?

It is not easy being a HRC supporter on this site and o we want to keep our space free of Hillary hatred.
GD is there for that.

(41,832 posts)You don't go in the Warren group or the Kerry group or the Obama group and spew. You don't tell a vegetarian how much you adore meat. I really don't understand why people have a problem with a "safe" group.
Goodness knows, General Discussion is full of negatives about Hillary. I often counter those statements there.
