If Democrats retain control of the US Senate after 2024 elections,

US Senator Patty Murray(D-WA) will be President Pro Tempore of the US Senate. Feinstein(D-CA) will not seek re-election or lose in the November 2024 General Election to a Democrat (Linda Sánchez-D).
