I'm going to be cleaning and upgrading my daughter's laptop.
I'd like to hear any suggestions for software that would track it
in case of theft.
Thanks.

There is a LoJack sort of thing out there, but nothing beats keeping an eye on it.

There's a little slot near the back (on one of the sides) that will take a locking cable. You can get one at any OfficeMax. That's good for when you're at the library.

will you be shooting it when you are done?
Thanks for the question - I didn't know there was software to track a laptop in case of theft.

The thief goes on line and the laptop calls home and the police are notified.
