Is the 2024 CA US Senate Race going to be a Democrat vs Democrat November General Election race?
California has a blanket primary race. All candidates regardless of political party affiliation ran on the same ballot. The top two winners regardless of political party affiliation face each other in the November General Election.
Scenario 1) Feinstein runs for re-election, finishes in 1st place in the blanket primary but the 2nd place finisher in the blanket primary is a Republican.
Scenario 2) Feinstein runs for re-election, finishes in 1st place in the blanket primary but the 2nd place finisher in the blanket primary is a Democrat.
Scenario 3) Feinstein retires(Democrat vs Republican general election).
Scenario 4) Feinstein retires(Democrat vs Democrat General election).
