You are the best qualified, best known, best possibility of all.
Senator Feingold, we need you. Please reconsider running for Governor!

(27,985 posts)I agree with former Mayor Dave on this:
"Upside: The Democratic base will walk across cut glass to vote for him. Downside: The Republican base will walk across burning coals to vote against him. Independents don't like cut glass or burning coals. They want someone who gives them a nice clear sidewalk. We love him, but that ain't Russ. "
I'd love it, but I just don't see it happening.

(34,658 posts)If he's in, theres no primary to speak of. And yes, I'd crawl over broken glass to campaign for him or vote for him or get him back into any public office. He's the one.

you really aren't fit to cast a ballot in an election.
Edit: You might as well say its a waste of time to recall Walker since he defeated Barrett in the same election the assclown defeated Feingold.

(85 posts)Russ Feingold would be great no question. I know he spoke out a couple times last spring about how he did not approve of what was going on in Madison. He will go to every corner of the state to campaign if he does run, and he knows how to speak to a variety of different constituencies, and that needs to happen if the Democrats are going to be successful in the Recall Election against Governor Walker.
Right now I am sticking with Vinehout, I like how not only she left the state last February, but was a vocal leader. Leaving the state will be an issue for independent voters, but on the plus it sure did not hurt any of the Democrats that much last summer.
Standing on the stage in a debate with Governor Walker, over his pile of controversial legislation, is not going to be an easy task. To win a debate against Walker, its going to take somebody who knows the legislation inside and out, I am confident Vinehout knows her policy.
