Flooding forces closure of Ebey Waterfront Park and Trail

EVERETT — Minor flooding is expected through Wednesday afternoon in Everett and the surrounding coastal areas.

In Marysville, 1st Street between Ebey Waterfront Park and Cedar Avenue, along with Ebey Waterfront Park & Trail, were closed due to flooding Wednesday morning. The city anticipated reopening the road and park when floodwaters recede later today.

The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory through 1 p.m. The flooding may impact parks and roads, though only isolated road closures are expected.

“Tidal overflow remains possible around the time of high tide, but thereafter will not be significant enough to warrant additional headlines,” the weather service said in a briefing on late Tuesday.
