US 2 closed between Gold Bar, Index with no detour available
After hours, U.S. 2 remains closed west of Stevens Pass due to fallen trees, freezing rain and icy conditions.
The closure, which was reported around 7:30 a.m., runs between Gold Bar and Index.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said there is no detour around the closure.
“Please keep this in mind if you are planning cross state travel,” WSDOT said in a tweet.
