Will Cannabis Ever Be Legal in Texas? What is the Hold Up?

My father lives in pain after a botched knee surgery. He doesn't like taking pain medications and is very old. He was former law enforcement so he won't try for a medical marijuana card. He cannot grow anything. But, I may be able to get him to try an edible or brownie, but they aren't legal in Texas.

Does anyone know if there is any prospect for legalization of cannabis for recreational use in Texas in the near future? Thanks for any help on this.

Nothing but love for you.

Good Luck

I can understand your father’s reluctance about cannabis, but everything he has been told about cannabis/marijuana was fabricated and manufactured lies.

And to answer your question: Republicans

...from Trump's constant BS.

Not trying to diminish soldier's or anyone else's PTSD, but it does suggest PTSD could be caused by many different things. Tornado, death of a loved one, earthquake, near-drowning, lightning, dog attack, bad acid, etc etc.

Wonder if I could apply on the "Trump gave me PTSD" grounds?

Here in Austin, I get them at Planet K.

I never take a full gummy for what I need. just a quarter does the trick. I don't get high but it settles my stomach.

Also works great for my anxiety issues.

As long as he holds office in Texas it will never happen. One of Patrick’s priorities next legislative session is to make Delta 8 and 9 illegal. Ha! Wait til all us old folks revolt. 😉😬

My husband finally was approved for medical marijuana due to diabetic neuropathy in his feet. I use CBD for arthritis pain in my hand and knees.
