Texas polls are few and far between. Support for Trump is lackluster at best. Does anybody have any sense of depressed the GOP turnout numbers might be as a result of this? 1%? 5%? 10%?

(145,619 posts)Gary Mauro discussed this poll last week on a conference call and thinks that Trump may be up 2%. Right now, Clinton is up by more than 10% in Harris County and the party may sweep local elections.

(22,672 posts)I can't say for certain, but my guess would be to expect turnout to be in between a general v. md-term election. So if you can find those numbers from 2014 & 2012, an average would probably be what you could expect.

My guess is that most of them aren't buying it and will leave the top of the ticket blank, protest vote for Johnson, or stay home. The only question is how big the latter number will be.
It's really, really hard to find a Trumpster here in north central NM. There are a few of them in the conservative southern part of the state, one of them tried to run over a Democratic candidate for local office last week. I'm not making this up.
