State Bar to hold hearing on complaint against former Robertson County DA John Paschall

CALVERT -- A complaint filed against former Robertson County District Attorney John Paschall with the State Bar of Texas will be brought before an evidentiary panel to determine if the now-private lawyer is guilty of professional misconduct.

The original grievance against Paschall was submitted in December 2013 by Ty Clevenger, an attorney representing the plaintiff in a civil suit against Paschall that's still in discovery stages three years after being filed.

In the grievance, Clevenger claims Paschall stole from Mariam Oscar, a deceased Calvert woman, while acting as executor of her estate.

"More than $100,000 is unaccounted for, and I suspect Mr. Paschall has stolen more than $500,000 since he assumed control over Ms. Oscar's affairs," Clevenger wrote in the grievance.
