Related: About this forumMcCord's latest attack on Tom Wolf - some of his company's cabinets are made in Indiana!
http://triblive.com/opinion/ericheyl/6009612-74/wolf-mccord-cabinetry#axzz30mSzMCJRGood column. Here's an excerpt:
"This highly controversial issue is being raised by gubernatorial hopeful and state treasurer Rob McCord. He's obviously hoping this will be the issue on which the primary contest favoring front-runner Tom Wolf ultimately swings.
McCord certainly isn't the first candidate to try to topple an opponent by criticizing the manufacture, appearance or style of the opponent's cabinets. But he appears to be among the most effective.
McCord's latest campaign commercial hammers away at the scandalous secret Wolf somehow managed to conceal until now. It seems that Wolf's highly successful York-based kitchen and bath cabinetry company makes only MOST of its cabinets in Pennsylvania, not ALL of them.
That's not the most explosive revelation. McCord discloses that some of Wolf's cabinets are manufactured in Indiana."
----
Think about it - the worst things they can find about Tom Wolf is that some of his company's cabinets are made in Indiana, he borrowed money to run campaign ads, and he helped raise legal funds for an old friend who was caught in Corbett's mass prosecution of Democrats.
Actually, if you look at Allyson Schwartz and her husband's assets, they are close to those of Tom Wolf. McCord is also wealthy, from his past work on Wall Street. If Schwartz and McCord wanted to spend large amounts of their own money and borrow money for more TV ads, they could have done so. Corbett is actually the poor boy among the candidates.

OP
We have 4 great gubernatorial candidates to choose from in the Democratic Primary.

(28,394 posts)1. I have been so disappointed in McCord's campaign.
He was endorsed by PSEA, so I was prepared to vote for him. Running ads attacking another democrat will just confuse people and tamp down turnout. I would have been more interested in learning about McCord and what he intends to do as governor.
Oh well.

I'm still undecided.
IMHO, Rob McCord and Allyson Schwartz have not done themselves any favors by going negative in their campaigns. The issues that they're picking about just seem petty.
BTW, the Trib probably loves seeing a little dissension in the Democratic ranks. Never fear, Trib. We'll be united against Corbett. We can't wait.
