The last 3 days it's been raining and cool in Eugene. Tomorrow it will be 90 degrees.
And from what I'm seeing it'll hover near 90 degrees every day for the next week at least.
This is freaky, freaky weather. Not much easing into the summer, just toss us into the pan! PB

1. I'm looking forward to lower humidity, but it would be nice to ease into the heat.

5. People in so cal have air conditioning.
Or evaporative cooling.
Something. Some of us up here in the North have neither. It's been in the 90s here in my area, and the house is sweltering. Whose damned idea was it to put that "skylight" up there where it lets direct sunlight in for long, long hours in the summer? When the sun goes down I'll open up the doors and more windows. Of course, the sun goes down at about 9:00 tonight, although it won't get dark until 10. |

6. Some of us have "air conditioning". At least that's what the landlord calls it.....
They don't even bother claiming that we have insulation, though.

8. I hear that.
I live in a ratty old trailer that needs to be condemned. Insulation? I freeze in the winter, broil in the summer. The only heat is a wood stove, so I keep warm dealing with the wood and ashes, anyway.

3. Seems to be the new normal.
![]() ![]() ![]() June used to be our transition month...temps mostly in the seventies, cumulus clouds in the afternoon, northwest wind would usually come up and blow. No more. ![]() Now we go from 50 to 90 overnight. ![]() No chance to adjust...and of course, climate change is a hoax, made up by us hippie tree-hugging, green bigots. ![]() I am NOT looking forward to the heat. Ack! With all the rain we've had, it is going to be a real steam bath, for sure. Bummer. ![]() |

4. Yep, if anything, today was the "transition" day at 85°. LOL! (cry) Oh well, at least...
...I can work on my tan or something, though that's going to have to be way early on in the day or I'll be sizzling like bacon!
