Protest Art Pope tomorrow

Tomorrow between 11:00 am and 1 pm. (He's our Koch brother so to speak).

Pope was recently appointed by the UNC Board of Governors,
the body that oversees NC's public university system, to the UNC Advisory Committee on Strategic Directions, an
advisory committee that will decide the spending and academic priorities for the UNC system for the next 5 years. Pope sits on this committee with many of his closest allies, who have either worked directly with Pope, or are connected to the Pope empire.

Pope's track record is clear -- he wants to use this position to further an agenda to privatize education, slash budgets, raise tuition, and attack programs and departments like Women's Studies and African American studies. This is not a vision that takes our communities forward. Students, workers, faculty, and all people who care for the future of our public schools need to come together to speak out against his placement on the UNC advisory committee.
