Related: About this forumSo....would be great to know when DUers are getting together - coffee, chats, etc....
I live in North Raleigh - yet to meet a DUer face to face (as far as I know, anyway!). I am working on a lunch or coffee with two of my former mod buddies - but in general - and in light of such a critical election, with NC sure to play a big part....how can we best use this forum to occasionally touch base for any number of reasons?

(60,034 posts)let's let Christmas and New Years clear the calendar and see what we can do starting, say, mid January.
I am quite disappointed that I've yet to meet a DUer face to face (almost - on Thursday - but timing didn't quite work out!)

(22,666 posts)I'm in Durham, and also get lost easily, especially in the dark. Unfortunately, I don't have a cat's radar or night sight. :p BUT - I can get a little bit out of my comfort zone to meet some more DUers. Saturdays work best for me. Usually Friday nights, all I wanna do is stay home with cats. But if it's a Friday night in Durham....that's doable, but might be a long drive for other DUers.

(3,310 posts)in Caswell County. Durham and Chapel Hill are easy; RTP slightly less so. Raleigh's a ways to go.
When my hubby gets feeling better (he's making slow progress, thanks for the loving thoughts!) we'd like to have another get-together out here at the farmlet. A couple of years ago we had or buds from KA and BlueNC out. We cooked for a week, LOL It was a blast and we'd love to do it over, probably in fall before the elections.
