It looks like Bachmann II is running against Keith Ellison

Viz this extremely amusing piece courtesy of Charlie Pierce in Esquire:

http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/lynne-torgerson-speech-ron-paul-8160565

A sample:

"She's running in the 5th Congressional District in Minnesota, hoping to replace Keith Ellison, who is young, black, a Muslim, a progressive and, therefore, practically everything that makes Glenn Beck weep into his morning bowl of Thorazine Puffs. According to her official campaign bio, Ms. Torgerson, an attorney by trade, "won a case at the United States Supreme Court on constitutional grounds. Ms. Torgerson helped establish 'the Law Of The Land.'"

James Madison, Roger Sherman, Alexander Hamilton, and Lynne Torgerson.

(By the way, I thought that "on constitutional grounds" was the only way you could win a case before the Supreme Court — Bush v. Gore notwithstanding — there not being a talent competition and all.)"

Keith is already laughing uproariously, I am certain.

Nuttier than a squirrel turd, at any rate. I've been voting for Don Fraser and Keith Ellison so long I can't even remember any Repuke opposition except for Fine. And the only reason I remember him is that some gomer down the street from where I was then living had a gigantic Fine sign in his front yard.
