State rep slams ‘horrific’ fetal tissue sales

State Rep. James Lyons said he would like to see a court block Planned Parenthood from selling fetal tissue as alleged in recent videos circulated by an anti-abortion group, which has now been stopped from distributing more footage by a federal judge.

“It would seem that if there were an injunction that might need to be 
issued, it would be an 
injunction against Planned Parenthood for the sale of fetal organs to the highest bidder,” the Andover 
Republican told the Herald yesterday.

“The only evidence I have seen so far is suggesting very strongly that Planned Parenthood is 
involved with the sale of fetal organs to the highest bidder, and that is horrific,” he said.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey has completed a review of the Bay State’s Planned Parenthood chapter that Lyons requested and concluded there was “no evidence” of the illegal sale of fetal tissue.
