SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. Father Conrad Pecevich at St. Anne's Catholic Church began work early Tuesday morning to find graffiti written in chalk on church's driveway with words considered to be a hate crime, MetroWest Daily News reported Tuesday.
The graffiti proclaimed, "All lives matter except ... ," before listing a number of racial and sexual slurs.
"I came out early to do some work here in the rectory, and the maintenance person said, 'You're not going to believe what is written there,'" Pecevich said. "I saw it, and I couldn't believe it, especially in Southborough."
He said he planned to the leave the markings for the time being, but someone washed the hateful words away with a bucket of water sometime during or after the 9 a.m. Mass.
