Going to DC for spring break...

The usual Tourist Things will be happening, but one of the things we would like to make happen is a sort of unofficial pub crawl...to the spots the congressional staffers and Professional Working Class and the like of DC go for drinks.

Suggestions, other than what Google search has to offer?

but really anyplace around the Capitol will have congressional staffers.

For political discussions and debate watch parties, Democrats often meet at Busboys and Poets. Republicans will go to Teddy and Bully Bar or Shelly's back room if you're looking for spots to avoid.

I saw this list online for cocktail bars: https://www.cityexperiences.com/blog/washington-dc-political-bars/
