Fort Smith Democrat exploring a 3rd District Congressional run

http://www.arktimes.com/ArkansasBlog/archives/2015/09/01/fort-smith-democrat-exploring-a-3rd-district-congressional-run

Robbie Wilson, described as a progressive Democrat, has established an exploratory committee to raise money
for the $10,000 filing fee to oppose incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Womack in the Third District.

Wilson, a tax preparer who lives in Fort Smith, has long participated in Democratic politics and has an agenda similar, a spokesman said, to that of Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Wilson will speak Saturday at an event being held by the Arkansas New Progressives from noon to 4 p.m. at MacArthur Park in Little Rock. They'll be organizing get out the vote and canvassing efforts.

A Wilson release cites his positions on women's rights, veterans, "deinstitutionalizing racism and bigotry," and a "practical plan" to improve schools.

He has a rudimentary website http://wilsonforarkansas.com and also plans a Facebook page, not currently available.

He now has a Facebook page up: https://www.facebook.com/WilsonIn2016

I am hoping that Bernie starts a progressive revolution. I think he does also. LiberalArkie Sep 2015 #2
