That's one strong wall! A tree that size is heavy as all get out. shraby Jan 2018 #2

I wonder where that is. That tree has to be close to if not over a century old and the wall may have been equally as old when the tree seed germinated there. Cool.

The wall is about 900 years old, I think the tree is about 400 years old - took route after Henry's sacking of the Abbeys

I have some deep inside interest in ancient Europe for some reason, maybe remnants from a past life or something. I once went to England to perform classical music and was able to tour Ely Cathedral, so amazing. Maybe some day I can return to tour more of Europe.

Thanks for sharing!

is the oldest part of the cathedral, The Lady's Chapel i think it's called that is if you were in the side chapel. We sang a few motets in that room, it brought tears to our eyes, the sound carried for a long time after we finished singing, so sublime!

It's such an amazing feat of architecture! Thanks for reminding me.
