Roseate Spoonbill overhead

Last edited Thu Jul 28, 2016, 04:06 AM - Edit history (1)

This is an older photo. I'm just going through the 100,000+ photos I have on Flickr in case I want to move them since Verizon has bought Yahoo. This photo was taken during an air show, the spoonbill didn't seem to be bothered at all by the noise.

about the environment. (migration changes, etc..)

They are fun to watch and some birds are simply beautiful.

Where did you get that shot? The only place I have ever seen Roseate Spoonbills is at the San Jacinto Monument outside of Houston. Add Wood Storks and so many other waterbirds, and it was one of my favorite places to photograph.

I see lots of them regularly. Here's a map to show exactly where it was taken, you can zoom out to get a better idea of the area.
