Guess where I went today.
Yep. The Charles Schultz Museum.
It's quite a nice building. Photos are allowed, but no flash or tripods.
One wall is composed of images of the Peanuts strip on ceramic tiles.
If you take a trip there, make sure you visit The Warm Puppy Cafe and ice rink across the street. The cafe has surprisingly good food, and you can watch the skaters while you munch.
The museum has some of the Charley Brown and crew statues. These were decorated by various artists and sold or auctioned off as a fundraiser several years ago. Surprisingly the museum doesn't have any of Lucy. But you can find these scattered throughout Santa Rosa. There was supposed to be the full complement of four characters at the Kaiser medical center, but I couldn't find a single one. I didn't have time to trudge through Santa Rosa, so I settled on what the museum had.
Santa Rosa's airport is the Charles Schultz Airport and has some of these figures as well as a bronze Charley Brown and Linus outside.
