Keyport Seagull

This is just four shots of a hungry seagull that boldly landed on the hood of my car while I was eating a fish platter by the water. It was a cold and wet day. I saved some for the seagulls who crowd around when they see cars. If you're not careful they will attack you for the food. I save more scraps than usual because I know the local restaurant, which probably provided a good sustenance for them, was knocked out of business by Hurricane Sandy. There were a lot of seagulls vying for the scraps so I don't know if this little guy got any but at least we will know he/she existed now.

I'm not a photographer or anything (this was just taken on an ipod touch.) I just wanted to share.

There was a seafood takeout place across from a parking lot overlooking the water.

I'm afraid that it was devastated by Hurricane Sandy too.

Keyport Fishery is still alive and well, even though the frankfurter place right next to it and the restaurant across the street were demolished by Sandy.

Somehow I never got into the restaurant for a meal.

I always enjoyed feeding the gulls. We would buy extras just for them.

Thanks for the information and the photos. I thought I recognized that spot.
