As you know, these little critters are very difficult to spot in the wild. You definitely have a good eye.

in the day time, it's harder to find red eyed tree frogs (and most tree frogs here) because they spend their days up in the canopy, sleeping. every once in a while you see one during the day, flattened up, sleeping under a broad leaf, conserving moisture.

but, at night, when i am photographing them, it's actually very easy to find them....they come down to eye level in the foliage around water, they have a distinctive call that gives away their location, and there usually is a ton of them!
