latest photos of wild squirrel monkeys........but.......

.....i think i over-processed them. i was happy with the sharpness but unhappy with the overall exposure of these two shots and i think i over-corrected. also, i think the one in the first shot looks like a character on the simpsons due to my processing...i really need to go back to the drawing board with these two.

I think that's more just being a monkey than processing. The second looks a bit flat like there's too much fill light and the color looks a bit off and over saturated.

That said, if this is the worst you do you're doing OK!

I would say they are perfectly exposed and processed.

You have to really shoot a horrible exposure to not get a good image.

9. I agree with Peggy but I know how it is when you have a vision of what you're trying to achieve.

In photography or any creative endeavor, you know what you want to achieve, and you look at and evaluate your work from that standpoint.

Other people just see what's there, while we see all the ways our work doesn't match up with what we were hoping to accomplish. And no matter how good our work is, we can't help seeing all the ways it doesn't quite meet our own exacting standards.

My own photography goals are very modest; I'm a rank amateur and I know it, so I just try to have fun with it. In other areas, like my writing and the crafts that I do, I'm excruciatingly hard on myself. And no matter good something may be, I am always aware of all the ways I've fallen short. I think it's just part of the creative process for some of us.
