John Carter Of Mars.

If you've read the books, please please PLEASE do not see this movie! I'm begging you!

They pulled one scene beautifully straight out of the book (Carter's advent on Mars), but that's about it. It's a completely new story and just not very good.

I saw this movie so you, my fellow fans of the greatest swordsman on two worlds, shouldn't have to.

You have been warned.

I have been hesitant to go see it.

I am a gigantic fan of the novels and have waited years for a good film adaption.

But when I saw the trailer, something seemed off.

Thanks for the warning. I will heed it.

not "A Princess of Mars", which would have implied they were going to do the whole series, or even "John Carter of Mars" ... they just forgot to mention Mars anywhere.

The previews make it look like another string of overdone CGIs, all somehow connected together by ... something.
