I love the delicacy both in the composition and the flowers and the butterfly. I love your rusty watering can holding the plants and flowers. It looks like it lives in the garden, nestled in the grass. Perhaps the flowers are rooted in it.

You have a light touch that is lovely. Magical. Reminiscent of fairy tale art.

cotton paper wicks!

Speaking of faerie tale art, have you looked at the little cottages by Alida Akers? I’m inspired to make a little picture like that for the school library. “The Littlest Library,” in a tree stump with a mouse librarian. I’d like to do one of the outside and one inside. I wish I felt better about hot press. It’s better for ink, but I like cold better for paint. In a perfect world, cold would be satin smooth!
